Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Arena. Please read it — it defines what Arena is, what it is not, and the rules for using the platform.
Last updated: 12 June 2026
1. The agreement
By creating an account or using Arena — including accountless participation through a link we send you — you agree to these Terms.
What Arena is (and is not)
Arena is operation-coordination infrastructure. Arena is not a bank, is not an escrow agent, and is not an accounting, legal or tax adviser. Regulated activities such as holding and moving funds are performed by our licensed payment partner, not by Arena.
2. Accounts & eligibility
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for keeping your access secure.
- Business accounts must be authorised to act for the entity they represent.
- You must not share your access or impersonate another party.
3. How operations work
- 1
Create
The owner defines the operation: price, currency, taxes, payment schedule and how proceeds are distributed.
- 2
Invite
Participants are invited by secure link and confirm their role.
- 3
Confirm terms
Economic terms are sent as an immutable, versioned proposal. Affected parties confirm or raise a structured objection.
- 4
Fund & verify
Funds are placed with the regulated payment partner; identity is verified where required.
- 5
Distribute & close
On completion, proceeds are distributed per the confirmed terms and records are preserved.
4. Fees
Arena charges a progressive platform fee on successfully completed operations. Payment-infrastructure costs charged by our payment partner are separate and always shown transparently before you confirm.
- Arena fee
- A progressive percentage of the operation value, applied only when an operation completes.
- Payment infrastructure fee
- Pass-through cost of holding and moving funds, set by the regulated payment partner.
- Drafts
- Creating and preparing operations is always free.
The full economic breakdown — base, taxes, Arena fee, payment infrastructure fee and each net payout — is reconciled and shown before any party confirms.
5. Proposals & disputes
Economic terms are agreed through immutable, versioned proposals. A party may Confirm or Dispute with a structured reason; they cannot unilaterally alter figures. An operation cannot close while a proposal is pending or a dispute is open. Arena provides the coordination and the record — it does not adjudicate the underlying commercial dispute between parties.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Arena or use it for unlawful, fraudulent or sanctioned transactions. Full rules are in the Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Liability & disclaimers
- Arena is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.
- Arena does not provide legal, tax or financial advice.
- To the maximum extent permitted, Arena's aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid for the affected operation.
- Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or restrict access where these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are breached, or where required to protect the platform or comply with law. You may close your account at any time; obligations relating to completed operations survive.
9. Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified. Continued use constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the applicable law of Arena's place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
