How do Back-to-Back Operations work?

An intermediary buys and resells the same horse while keeping both sides confidential.

Updated · 2026-06-23

In a back-to-back operation an intermediary buys from the seller and resells to the buyer as part of one coordinated operation. Neither side sees the other's price. The seller receives their agreed amount in full; the buyer pays their agreed amount in full; the intermediary keeps the margin, from which Arena's fixed fee is taken. Confidentiality is enforced from day one.
